Accounting Assistant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and payment requests
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Reconcile financial records and account balances
• Maintain accurate accounting documentation and files
• Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and financial summaries
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities
• Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
• Assist with expense reporting and reimbursement processing
• Enter financial transactions into accounting systems
• Collaborate with internal departments on finance-related requests
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
• 0–2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, administration, or related roles
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
