Hiring guides for the roles we recruit

A paralegal search and a DevOps search fail for different reasons, so each guide starts with what the job really involves, what to screen for and what BLS data says it pays. Careerscape's recruiters specialize by field and recruit for employers nationwide.

Every guide covers the same questions in its own way: what to put in the job description, what separates a strong candidate, which credentials matter, and where the talent pool is deepest. Where BLS publishes the role as its own occupation, its U.S. median pay (May 2025) is shown beside it.

How to use these

What each guide gives you

Each guide is built around a hiring decision. You get a job description template you can adapt, the checks and interview questions that separate a strong candidate from a polished resume, and the certifications or licenses that actually matter for the role. Where a title does not map neatly to a federal occupation, the guide says so before showing any numbers.

The data comes from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics wage survey for May 2025: national pay from the 10th to the 90th percentile, the 2025 to 2035 outlook, and how many people hold the job in each of the 29 metro areas we track. For pay by experience level, each guide links to its page in the 2027 Salary Guide; to see a field by city, start from the industry pages.

How a search works when the role is defined well

Careerscape is a national recruiting agency; our recruiters work remotely and specialize by field.

  1. 01

    Define the role

Use the guide's job description and decide what is required versus trainable. Most searches stall because the role is described as two jobs at once.

  2. 02

    Agree on pay and format

Set a range from the BLS figures and the local market, and choose direct hire, contract or contract-to-hire.

  3. 03

    Review a short list

You see screened candidates, not a stack of resumes, and request interviews and leave feedback in your Employer Portal.

FAQ

Questions about hiring by role

Which roles does Careerscape recruit for?

The 48 roles on this page across technology, healthcare, financial services, legal and compliance, marketing and creative, and office support, plus related titles in the same fields. If your role is not listed, tell us about it; our recruiters specialize by field rather than by a fixed list of titles.

Where do the pay figures come from?

From the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics survey for May 2025. BLS publishes pay by occupation, not by job title, so each guide names the occupation it uses and explains when a title sits at one end of a broader group.

Can I use the job description templates?

Yes. They are starting points: adjust the responsibilities and requirements to your team, and keep the requirements list short. Requirements that are really preferences shrink the candidate pool without improving the hire.

Do you place contract and temporary staff for these roles?

Yes, for most of them. Options include contract staffing, contract-to-hire, temporary staffing, direct hire and executive search for senior positions.

I'm looking for a job. Can these pages help?

Each guide explains what employers screen for and which credentials matter, which is useful when you prepare for interviews. Our service is free for candidates and confidential if you are employed: submit your resume or browse open jobs.
